Recovered historical introduction page Provisional sequence (fixed source-record order)

Browsing order follows the fixed Discussn.dat record order (record 2 of 18), per accepted ordering evidence: 'Discussn.dat fixed-record order + DFD ordered occurrence transitions'. Runtime previous/next page-link bytes are not decoded from source ('runtime control observed; no per-page source link decoded'); this order is the best-supported sequence available, not a confirmed reproduction of the original application's exact page flow.

Organization <f17<c24The Land Birds of Southeast Brazil<f0<c0 is solely electronic in nature. Due to the large number of species vocalizations included it is being published sequentially on up to three separate compact discs. These discs are | <N Disc 1. Non-passerine species Disc 2. Species of the Order Passeriiorms, sub-order Tyranni or Sub-oscines . Disc 3. Species of the Order Passeriiforms, sub-order Passeri or Oscines .<N Order of Publication Disc 2 was selected to be the first disc published because of the predominance of endemic and near-endemic species of Sub-oscines found in the area covered. The second disc to be published is Disc 3, to be followed ultimately by Disc 1. However, because there are fewer species on Disc3, some of the species from Disc 1, together with some additional sub-oscine species that were not on the original Disc 2 have been incorporated into the second Disc see below . <NWhatever the final configuration, other than the species accounts, the information provided will be the same on each disc so that ultimately, when all discs are available, you will be able to transfer all the information from the discs onto a computer and use them as if they were a single work. Species other than from Disc 3 included on the second Disc The disc includes the Doves, Parrots and Woodpeckers from Disc1. In addition seven species of suboscines are included | /Thripophaga macroura , /Phacellodomus rufifrons , /Dysithamnus plumbeus , /Formicivora acutirostris , an as yet not described species of antwren Formicivora spec.nov. , /Chiroxiphia pareola and /Hemitriccus kaempferi . These species were either only recently found in the area covered by this project or there is a strong possibility that they might occur. <N<NThe complete list of species published first and second discs is contained in the checklist Southeast Brazil, 2006 which is the default checklist used after the second disc is installed.
