Description Disc 1 · 2011
25-28 cm. The male's crown and breast are purplish blue; throat black; belly orange yellow; back bronzy green; rump purplish blue; the central tail rectrices are greenish blue, broadly tipped black, and the outer rectrices are black tipped white; bill pale greenish; eyering pale blue.
The female's upperparts, breast and flanks are dark gray; belly orange yellow; wing coverts black, vermiculated white, outer rectrices tipped and barred with white.
