Description Disc 1 (2011)

^ 14 cm. A medium-sized hermit with olive green upperparts: uppertail coverts reddish-brown: underside pinkish-buff: the second pair of rectrices from the center of the tail coppery green with prominent white tips.

Song weest..weest..weest..weest.. for minutes, tseeeh..tseeeeh..tseeeh... call in fflight swit .

Behavior Disc 1 (2011)

Feeds presumably by trap-lining on nectar bearing flowers and for small arthropods.

September - April.

Habitat and status Disc 1 (2011)

Common in dry open forest, scrubby thickets, second growth, forest edge and gallery forest, gardens and parks. Not in dense forest. Mostly at higher altitudes 400-2100 meters.
