Complete decoded account text

11.5 cm. A stocky greenish bird with a rather short tail somewhat too long in the color sketches and long wings foraging in the canopy. Bill is heavy and short, the mandible with an orange or pinkish base. Above dull olive-green, some individuals paler the head with a broad white superciliary stripe terminating over the eye and dusky lores. Wings are blackish-grey with two distinct but not very obvious dull yellowish-white wingbars. The throat and belly are dirty lemon-yellow, the chest sometimes with olive flammulation. Tail black with white sides. <N Some individuals have a lighter colored front of head and loral area, and these may be young individuals pic 2 . Some individuals appear very light and washed out in November.<N See also the picture of this species in Clay ^75 although in this picture the tail is much too long The call is diagnostic.
