Description Disc 1 · 2011
26 cm. The male's back is coppery green; crown and breast shining blue; belly crimson (south to northern Estado São Paulo) or orange (north to northern Estado São Paulo); wing coverts speckled black and white; central tail rectrices shining blue, tipped black; outer rectrices white; bill greenish.
The female has a slaty gray throat; wing coverts black vermiculated with white; outer tail feathers white on outer the web.
