Description Disc 1 · 2011
29 - 32.5 cm. Crown and nape blackish bodered by a tawny stripe; back brownish, wing covers and inner flight feathers fuscous, mottled or barred with tawny cinnamon on outer webs; lower back, rump and upper tail covers rufous, narrowly barred black; throat light cinnamon rufous to whitish, lower foreneck and chest gray, breast rufous belly paler buff to ochraceous barred with fuscous on flanks, tibiae, belly and crissum; iris brown; bill horn colour; legs yellow. In the immature the back is dotted with buff.
