24 cm. Upper parts olive-brown. Lores blackish-brown. Throat white with black streaks. Belly buff-white. In breeding plumage the bill is yellow. <NJuvenile is brown with pale feather shafts on crown, nape and back. Wing coverts have pale buff central shaft streaks becoming pale orange buff and spots on tips of the secondaries form a wing bar. The underside and face are mottled brown on a buff or yellowish background Clement P, Thrushes Song a collection of repeated monotonous simple, and repeated short phrases with long pauses between them vocalization 1-3 . Much less melodious than the song of /Turdus rufiventris compare vocalizations in 1 . Also a short "pup" vocalization 4 or a "wek" vocalization 5 .
