14.0 cm. Similar to /Myiozetetes similis , but in this species the bill is longer and the throat is yellow. Crown and ear coverts black. A white superciliary stripe. Olive-brown above. Wings and tail blackish dusky. Below yellow, clouded olive on the breast. A characteristic repeated "cheuw cheuw cheuw.....". The sequence of the single sounds can become faster or slower. Completely unlike the vocalizations of /Myiozetetes similis . Foraging always in groups or family parties in the upper stratum of the forest canopy. An outward-hover gleaner, aerial hawker and fruit eater ^74 . The genus /Conopias nests in tree cavities ^44 . A tyrant flycatcher of primary, rarely tall secondary forest canopy.
