Rusty-margined Flycatcher

Similar to /Myiozetetes similis with a prominent white superciliary stripe but has a yellow semi-concealed crown patch on a black crown: less black on the cheeks: an olive-brown back and black wings with rufous margins. White throat. Breast and belly yellow. Tail black. <NJuvenile /Myiozetetes similis sometimes also shows rusty edges to the flight feathers. Less vocal than /Myiozetetes similis . Most characteristic calls are a whining and frequently repeated "wiiiieee" and an even higher "ziiee", or "zik zi-e zi-e". Perches in the upper and middle level of trees. A generalist foraging by aerial hawking and using other sallying techniques. Can be largely frugivorous ^74 . Scarce ^15 at forest borders and clearings near water.
