26 cm. Similar to but smaller than the female of /Tijuca atra . Olive with some yellow on rump and underparts. Gray wings and a gray, not olive, tail. Call is a clearly bisyllabic short very high pitched whistle "swiiii-wiiiii..." repeated frequently. Forages in the canopy of montane forest. Not uncommon in the Serra dos Org<C4>os and not restricted to cloud forest ^44 . This species qualifies as "vulnerable", because of the small range it inhabits. Restricted to the<8E>Serra dos Org<C4>os<8E>and<8E>Serra de Tingua<8E>located southwest of Petropolis. Starts to occur at about 1200 meters. For more information see ^185 2138 Song.
