Gray-fronted Dove

28 cm. Forehead grayish to bluish white becoming bluish gray on crown. Nape and hindneck grayish purple. Face pinkish buff. Upper parts olive brown with bronze sheen. Breast grayish pink, becoming white on belly and crissum. Underwing coverts chestnut. Central tail feathers olive brown, outer tail feathers black with white tips. Lores and orbital skin red. Bill black. Feet red. call "ooh", time between calls 4-5 sec ^119 . Forages on the ground. Seems to be more of a forest bird than /Leptotila verreauxi . Occurs in humid forest at the coast, mata ciliar inland. Throughout.
