Description Disc 1 (2011)

18 cm. A large swift with a square or slightly rounded tail and long wings: brown with a paler head, forehead and rump lightest, The juvenile has pale median primary converts.

Call ti..ti..ti..tir..tsharrrr with final buzz. Repeated wiru 119 .

Stays in its breeding area and flies around over the nearby area in small groups. Often associates with other swifts.

Rare and local in montane evergreen forest and lowland forest. Needs country with gorges and waterfalls for roosting and breeding.
