Description Disc 1 · 2011
43-52 cm. Facial veil very dark brown with prominent white eyebrows and lores; head and neck blackish brown; rest of the upper parts paler dark brown; flight feathers and tail barred gray brown; throat white, belly pale buff, broad chocolate brown chest band; tarsi and toes feathered; iris yellow, bill creamy yellow.\The immature has a blackish facial disc; body white; wing coverts barred gray brown.
