Description Disc 1 (2011)

50 cm. The adult is dark blue above with a black crest: forehead buff to cinnamon: breast with dusky semicircular bands and narrow black band on chest, underparts buff with rufous venter: bare facial skin blue: iris brown: large bill yellow-green: feet dark gray. <nThe immature is duller and darker: belly black with rufous-gray: bill dark.

Described as a dove-like ooooo-oop , bill clapping, a low woof and a loud tshak ^193 .

Behavior Disc 1 (2011)

Runs on the forest floor leaping over logs, scratches in leaf litter.

Maybe occurs in Northern Estado Rio de Janeiro. Regularly seen at Sooretama, Estado Espiritu Santo.
