Description Disc 1 · 2011
28.0-30.0 cm. The adult's forehead and face are black, replaced by slate on the sides of head, throat, neck, upper mantle, breast, and sides; back, scapulars, and rump olive brown, the back often tinged chestnut; wing coverts chestnut; remiges and rectrices blackish or deep slate; abdominal region and under tail coverts white, the former often mottled bluish gray; flanks pale brownish or gray, prominently spotted white; iris reddish brown; bill greenish yellow; feet olivaceous; toes lightly lobed.
