20.5 cm. Bill orange with a black ridge. Medium brown upperparts. Black face and throat. Underparts light buffy, cinnamon on flanks and crissum. <NThe immature has an ashy brown foreface and throat ^133 . Call a sharp "wheek" ^133 . Song a loud, explosive and fast complex assembly of notes lasting about 2 sec vocalization 1 . In family groups and pairs in low bushes, on grass and on the ground. Apparently rare in cerrado and open savannah with low bushes. Estado S<C4>o Paulo inland.
