Back, upper head and nape shining orange-buff and emerald-green, striped black. Breast and shoulders shining orange-buff. Center of lower belly yellow. Wings and tail consisting of black feathers with emerald-green edges. Sexes alike. Call a high pitched "tsee" and a shorter "tsit". Song a "ti-i -i-i-i-i-i-ti-i-i-ti" ^119 Forages in the canopy of trees for fruits and insects in small groups Deep cup nest. Common locally in humid mountain forest and forest edge.
