The account
Description
12 cm. In non-breeding plumage is bluish green above. Yellowish superciliary. Dark gray wings with two white wing bars. Short tail dark gray. Underside white with dark streaks on the flanks.
Male in breeding plumage is light blue above. Back streaked blackish. Wings and tail dark grey. Two white wing bars. Underside white with a narrow black band across the chest. Flanks streaked blackish.
