Olivaceous brown above: the diagnostic mark of this species is the whitish-buff eyering and lores: below white, washed buff on throat and chest with black spots: sides of belly with olive brown wash. Call a "whit...whit..." song a sequence of upward pearling fluted notes see vocalization 1 . Primarily frugivorous in the winter quarters, rarely descending to the ground ^133 . North America. Occurs in lower and middle strata of forest, forest borders and parkland. Recorded once in <8E>Rio de Janeiro ^133 and at <8E>Boraceia ^119 . To be expected as a winter straggler.
