Chirp-like calls and descending sharp "ziii " calls are uttered by members of a pair or a group. Flies over open ground, villages, in cloudy and rainy weather more over water: in small groups or loose flocks. Breeds in Southeast Brazil in October-February. Uses any type of cavity, in tree, bank, road cutting, beneath roofs. Common throughout the year over open country, water, towns, forest edge, coast.. Throughout Southeast Brazil.
