Yellow-lored Tody-Flycatcher

9 cm. The typical green and yellow Tody-Flycatcher of the Atlantic Lowlands. Iris orange. Head gray with a large yellow spot in front of the eye. Back olive-green. Wings blackish with two bright wing bars and margins to the flight feathers. Below bright yellow. Tail olive-gray. Call is a series of "tick" notes delivered in slow sequence or in groups of 4-5 fast sequences of "tick" for minutes. The frequency of these calls within the sequence can increase or decrease. Forages from 1-4 meters up in trees by upward strikes. Often sits quite exposed. Reasonably common at borders of forest, open forest, tall scrub, gardens and clearings. Serra do Mar, Serra Mantiqueira, Serra dos Org<C4>os<8E>to the border with Parana state. Mostly at sea level. Up to 1200 meters ^44 .
