15.5 cm. White supraloral spot. Above grayish olive with a buffy-yellowish rump. Wings black with two whitish-yellow wingbars and margins to the primaries. Below white, tinged gray on the breast. Tail black with white sides and tip. Calls a low "weer... weer...." and a two-syllabled "dudi.... dudi....". Song "jew-BEE-di, di, di", repeated ^30 . Forages by perch-gleaning. Perch-gleaners move through foliage rapidly with short hops and flights, searching only the area they can reach without sallying ^74 . Nest is a simple cup ^86 . Fairly common in open chaco, scrub and dry forest. Mostly Extralimital. Pinto reports the species from<8E>Itapetininga<8E>and<8E>Franca and seen at<8E>Itirapina<8E>in November, 1995 Remold .
