Serra Do Mar Tyrannulet

12 cm. Bright olive-green above. An obvious white eye ring and supraloral stripe. The area below eye is black. Gray cheeks with a black crescent spot. Wings green without bars, the primaries with yellow margins. Below grayish, white on throat and lower belly. Gives a hasty and rapid chatter sounding like "dodidei", the middle syllable being difficult to hear when the bird is further away. Forages from 1-4 meters in forest and scrub. An upward strike gleaner. Not uncommon in dense humid forest, forest border and dense low scrub at the tree line.
