Pin-tailed Manakin

11 cm ; 2 cm tail. Orange iris. <NMale has a deep red patch on fore crown and is otherwise black above with a scarlet lower back and rump. The wings have olive-brown tertials. Cheeks pale gray. Below whitish with the flanks striped coarsely black. Tail black, the two center rectrices pointed and elongated. <NFemale is olive-green, the sides of head and throat gray.
