Rio de Janeiro Antbird

15 cm. A relatively large gray antbird with a long tail. The male is uniformly gray with a white semiconcealed dorsal patch. Wing-coverts black, fringed with white. Tail is black, tipped with white. <NThe female is brown with an olive tinge above. Tawny below. Wing coverts narrowly bordered with buff. Tail feathers tipped buff.
