Spot-winged Pigeon

33 cm. Head, neck and underparts vinous gray. Back mostly gray. Wings brown, the wing coverts spotted, and the greater coverts edged white. Tail gray with a black terminal band. Bill black. Legs red. Hoarse "wooooo hoohoohooo hoohoohooo hoohoohoooo". Feeds on the ground on seeds etc. Perches in trees. October, probably all year round. A straggler, may be found in flocks with /Columba picazuro . Occurs in arid open country with trees and scrub, gardens, eucalyptus groves and other cultivated areas. A possible straggler from the Southwest.
